VALE SAM McNAMEE

Gordon Rugby mourns the passing of one of our old stalwarts, Sam McNamee, at the age of 94 (only 3 days short of his 95th birthday).

Sam was an old coach and manager in the 60’s and 70’s and managed the Gordon overseas tour in 1972. He was instrumental in starting up the St Ives Rugby Club in the early 70’s.

Sam’s funeral service is at 1pm this Friday, 6th October 2017, at the Magnolia Chapel Macquarie Park Crematorium.

We send our sympathies to Sam’s family at this sad time. The grass is a little less greener at Chatswood Oval right now.
