SCOTT GRAYSON – 2012 Second Grade Colts Coach

What is your nickname ? Scotty

Who are the best listeners to your instructions-backs or forwards ? No one listens to me they just go out there and do the opposite of what I ask.  But sometimes the backs listen to me.

What do you like about coaching Gordon ? Great family atmosphere.

What is the most important asset for a Rugby player ? Football boots

What causes you to blow up in the half time speech ? Long walk from the sideline

Which team do you like beating most ? Sydney Uni and did that 3 times in the 2010 season.

What other passion do you have outside Rugby ? Cycling, running and bit of red wine

Are you a clipboard or scrap of paper man ? Neither, small notebook

Last book read ? The instructions for my iphone. But I must confess I only looked at the pictures

Best Rugby moment ? Not so much of a moment but a situation.  Coaching at Wahroonga juniors U17’s in 2008 and we asked St Ives to join us to make a team, they all turned up and they played the season for their mates.  That combined team was last year’s St-Ives colts and played in the grand final.

Which current Wallaby would you like to be coaching at Gordon this season ? Past Wallaby, Stirling Mortlock.

Who is your favourite sporting coach in Australia ? My partner in crime Tommy Forde.  (mad Irishman)

What stresses you most about coaching a Rugby side ? When I can’t understand Tommy during his pre game rev ups.

Do you accept bribes before selection meetings ? Don’t know who’s asking?

What stopped you coaching the Wallabies ? The travel, girls and money

Worst excuse from a player you have heard to miss training? Lost car keys and they only lived a few blocks away.

Favourite place for a drink-bar, pub or club ? Do you have to have a favourite place? I’ll drink anywhere.

What is your goal for your Gordon team this season ? Win the Grand final
